Endam Home of Hope Strengthens Commitment to Early Childhood Education in Humanitarian Crises

This commitment was recently reinforced as our Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Yvonne Ndaga, participated in a high-level workshop on Preparing a Fundraising Document for Early Childhood Education in Humanitarian Crises, organized by Moving Minds Alliance in collaboration with REACH. The workshop convened humanitarian practitioners, development organizations, and advocacy leaders committed to strengthening investment in early childhood education for children living in crisis-affected communities.
Why Early Childhood Education Matters in Humanitarian Settings
Across the world, millions of children are growing up amid conflict, forced displacement, climate emergencies, and other humanitarian crises. These challenging environments often interrupt learning, threaten children’s wellbeing, and limit opportunities during the most critical years of development.
Research consistently shows that the first years of a child’s life are fundamental to lifelong learning, health, and emotional development. Humanitarian organizations increasingly recognize that investing in early childhood development is one of the most effective ways to protect children, strengthen families, and build resilient communities.

Building Capacity to Create Greater Impact
The fundraising workshop provided an important platform for learning, collaboration, and knowledge exchange on sustainable financing strategies for Early Childhood Education in Emergencies (ECDEiE).
By participating in this initiative, Endam Home of Hope continues to strengthen its institutional capacity to mobilize resources, build strategic partnerships, and design impactful programmes that respond to the evolving needs of children affected by displacement and humanitarian crises.
