Visit to Refugee Camp at Ogoja, Cross River State, Nigeria

Endam Home of Hope visited the refugee camps in Ogoja, Cross River State to find out how female refugees are coping most especially teenagers, children forced to marry elderly people against their wish as a means of settling the debts their parents owe, and to find out other pertinent issues related to Gender Base violence and others. We got firsthand information about what female refugees are going through in their camps. It is so unfortunate to know that they decide to keep such information as a top secret in order to protect their integrity. More information will be included in our upcoming project as advocates and implementors

Health information campaign The main objective of the information campaign is to educate participants on risks involved in engaging in negative coping mechanism and encourage the female refugees to seek alternative solutions based on the training they have received. EHOP carried out a strong communication campaign, covering topics such as Sexually transmitted diseases (STD), Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), with UNFPA
